Credential applications for the 2016 Florida Blue Florida Classic open later this year.
FCSports will ask the media relations directors of the participating schools to review the list of applicants and all applications are subject to final approval by the FCSports staff.
Media members who have been approved may pick up their credentials during Media Will Call during Classic week.
No credentials will be mailed.
To obtain your media credential you must:
- Be present at Media Will Call to receive your credentials, thus one person cannot obtain media credentials for all members of his or her media agency.
- Present a government issued photo ID.
- Sign your name on the credential registration form. Please Note: For security reasons, credentials will only be issued to the recipients named on the credential application unless pre-authorized by FCSports.
Game-Week Will Call
Prior to game day, you may pick up your credentials at the Florida Citrus Sports offices on the second floor of the Citrus Centre, located at 1 Citrus Bowl Place in Orlando. Will call is available between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from Nov. 19-20.
Credentials not picked up on Nov. 19 or 20 will be available up until the end of the first quarter on game day at Media Will Call, which will be located on Church Street adjacent to Gate F in the stadium’s NW corner. The booth will open at Noon.
A limited number of parking passes, issued on a priority basis, are available. Parking passes can be applied for during the credential application process. Parking passes, if approved, must be picked up prior to game day or sent via FedEx at the outlet’s expense. Media must arrange pick up the parking pass at the FCSports offices in the Citrus Bowl NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20 at 3:00 p.m. FCSports accepts no responsibility for lost parking passes.
Credential use is for working media to obtain admittance to officially sanctioned events. The credential does not function as a ticket to any official Classic event. Battle of the Bands requires a separate credential.
The press box at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium is equipped with wireless internet and hard Ethernet lines. If you need a phone line or additional services, please contact Greg Creese (firstname.lastname@example.org) at least two weeks in advance of the game.
No online internet service will be allowed “real time” transmission of the Florida Classic. Only the game’s television rights holder, ESPN, is allowed “real time” transmission during the event. “Real Time” is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Outlets planning to cover the game using blogs or social media applications (such as Twitter and Facebook) should note that on their credential application.
Photo passes will be issued only to accredited photographers and videographers on assignment and photographers authorized by Florida Citrus Sports. No freelance photographers will be granted credentials. Photo passes grant access to the sidelines and press box. Under NCAA rules, photographers are not allowed between the 25-yard lines and must remain outside the restraining lines surrounding the playing field. ARM BANDS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOOT PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE SIDELINES. Arm bands can be obtained by those with approved TV-Photo passes in the press box prior to kick off.
TV stations planning to bring satellite trucks to the game must notify Greg Creese (email@example.com) to secure a parking spot at the stadium.
