The Florida Citrus Sports (FCSports) Communications Department looks forward to working with members of the media during the Florida Blue Florida Classic. If you are unable to locate the information you are searching for, please contact someone in the FCSports Communications Department who will be happy to assist you.
Credential applications for the 2017 Florida Blue Florida Classic will open in October.
FCSports will ask the media relations directors of the participating schools to review the list of applicants and all applications are subject to final approval by the FCSports staff.
Media members, once approved, may pick up their credentials at the FCSports offices during Will Call hours listed below.
No credentials will be mailed.
To obtain your media credential you must:
- Be present at Media Will Call to receive your credentials, thus one person cannot obtain media credentials for all members of his or her media agency without written approval and a confirming e-mail.
- Present a government issued photo ID.
- Sign your name on the credential registration form. Please Note: For security reasons, credentials will only be issued to the recipients named on the credential application unless pre-authorized by FCSports.
Game-Week Will Call
Prior to game day, you may pick up your credentials at the Florida Citrus Sports offices on the second floor of the Citrus Centre, located at 1 Citrus Bowl Place in Orlando. Will call is available between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from Nov. 16-17.
Credentials not picked up on Nov. 16 or 17 will be available up until the end of the first quarter on game day at Media Will Call, which will be located at Camping World Stadium’s South Box Office, located between gates C & D. Media Will Call will open at Noon.
A limited number of parking passes, issued on a priority basis, are available. Parking passes can be applied for during the credential application process. Parking passes, if approved, must be picked up prior to game day or sent via FedEx at the outlet’s expense. Media must arrange to pick up the parking pass at the FCSports offices in Camping World Stadium NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17 at 3:00 p.m. FCSports accepts no responsibility for lost parking passes.
Credential use is for working media to obtain admittance to officially sanctioned events. The credential does not function as a ticket to all official Classic events. Battle of the Bands requires a separate credential. Contact Mickey Boylan for more information on Battle of the Bands credentials.
The press box at Camping World Stadium is equipped with wireless internet and hard Ethernet lines. If you need a phone line or additional services, please contact Mickey Boylan at least two weeks in advance of the game.
No online internet service will be allowed “real time” transmission of the Florida Classic. Only the game’s television rights holder, ESPN, is allowed “real time” transmission during the event. “Real Time” is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Outlets planning to cover the game using blogs or social media applications (such as Twitter and Facebook) should note that on their credential application.
Photo passes will be issued only to accredited photographers and videographers on assignment and photographers authorized by Florida Citrus Sports. No freelance photographers will be granted credentials. Photo passes grant access to the sidelines and press box. Under NCAA rules, photographers are not allowed between the 25-yard lines and must remain outside the restraining lines surrounding the playing field. ARM BANDS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOOT PHOTOGRAPHS FROM THE SIDELINES. Arm bands can be obtained by those with approved TV-Photo passes at Media Will Call prior to kick off.
TV stations planning to bring satellite trucks to the game must notify Mickey Boylan to secure a parking spot at the stadium.
