The Florida Citrus Sports (FCSports) Communications Department looks forward to working with members of the media during the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Classic. If you are unable to locate the information you are searching for, please contact someone in the FCSports Communications Department and we will be happy to assist you.
Credentials
Media credential applications are now open.
FCSports will ask the media relations directors of the participating schools to review the list of applicants for any questionable credential requests and all applications are subject to final approval by the FCSports staff.
Media members who have been approved may pick up their credentials during media will call during Classic week. No credentials will be mailed.
To obtain your media credential you must:
- Be present at Media Will Call to receive your credentials, thus one person cannot obtain media credentials for all members of his or her media agency.
- Present a government issued photo ID.
- Sign your name on the credential registration form. Please Note: For security reasons, credentials will only be issued to the recipients named on the credential application.
Credential Use
Use your credential to obtain admittance to official sanctioned events as working media only - the credential does not function as a ticket to any official Classic event.
Will Call
Prior to game day, you can pick up your credentials at the Florida Citrus Sports offices on the second floor of the Citrus Centre, located at 1 Citrus Bowl Place in Orlando. Will call is available between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from Nov. 17-18.
Credentials that are not picked up at Media Registration will be available on the day of the game at the Gate D ticket window located adjacent to parking lot G at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. The booth will open two hours prior to kickoff.
Game Day Entrance
The media entrance on game day is at Service Gate D in the northwest corner of the stadium. All bags entering the stadium will be searched. Please allow extra time for entry into the stadium on game day.
Parking
A limited number of parking passes, issued on a priority basis, are available. Parking passes can be applied for during the credential application process. Parking passes, if approved, will be mailed on November 4. If the credential and parking application is received after November 4, the media outlet must provide a FedEx or UPS shipping account # to have the pass sent express, or you must arrange pick up the pass at the FCSports offices in the Citrus Bowl NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18 at 3:00 p.m. FCSports accepts no responsibility for lost parking passes.
Phone Lines
The press box at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium is equipped with Wireless Internet. Courtesy phones for pool use are provided in the press box. The phone lines are toll-restricted. A private line is strongly encouraged for media members who require a highspeed connection during the game for such things as online chats, live blogging, etc. If you prefer a private line, contact Greg Creese for ordering information. When you place the order, please specify if the phone use will be for press use or photo use. You must provide your own phone device.
Internet Policy
No online internet service will be allowed "real time" transmission of the Florida Classic. Only contractual rights-fee paying media will be allowed "real time" transmission during the event. "Real Time" is defined as any online media providing live continual play-by-play coverage of an event. Outlets planning to cover the game using blogs or social media applications (such as Twitter and Facebook) should note that on their credential application.
Photography Regulations
Photo passes will be issued only to accredited photographers and videographers on assignment and photographers authorized by Florida Citrus Sports. No freelance photographers will be granted credentials. Photo passes grant access to the press box. Under NCAA rules, photographers are not allowed between the 25-yard lines and must remain outside the restraining lines surrounding the playing field. ARM BANDS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOOT PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE FIELD. Arm bands can be obtained in the press box prior to kick off.
Satellite Trucks
TV stations planning to bring satellite trucks to the game, must notify Greg Creese to secure a parking spot at the stadium.
